Yes, sweet potato casserole can be made ahead of time. Prepare the casserole without the brown sugar topping, cover, and refrigerate. Refrigerate the brown sugar topping separately. Brown Sugar Pecan Sweet Potato Casserole
Brown Sugar Pecan Sweet Potato Casserole is made with creamy mashed sweet potatoes and an irresistible brown sugar pecan topping. It is a holiday-worthy side dish that you will want to make year after year!

INGREDIENTS
4 lbs sweet potatoes
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs beaten
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cold butter
1 cup chopped pecans
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. Cook your sweet potatoes until tender. You can bake them in the oven, peel and boil them, or cook them in your instant pot.
3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked sweet potatoes, melted butter, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs. Use a handheld mixer to beat until smooth. Spread the mixture into your baking dish.
4. In your food processor, pulse the brown sugar and flour until combined. Cut the butter into chunks and add to the food processor. Pulse until the mixture is crumbly and the butter is in pea-sized pieces. (See photo above.) Stir in the chopped pecans. Spread the pecan mixture evenly over the sweet potatoes.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
