Are you one of those people who thinks that certain foods are meant for certain seasons? I mean, sure, when you're dealing with produce, seasonal is obviously the way to go. But I'm talking about things like casseroles and soups only being for winter and ice cream and grilling recipes only being for summer.
Is that your way of thinking? Because that is definitely not mine!
I'm the kind of girl that is eating chicken pot pie in the middle of summer and grilling things like these steak tacos all year long.
I guess that living in Florida gives me a slight edge on the year-round grilling thing, but I'm not complaining! I want grilled tacos all day, every day, every month of the year! Blackened chicken tacos, fish tacos, beef tacos, I love them all!
These tacos start with an inexpensive cut of beef that is rubbed with Mexican seasonings and then grilled. The steak is cooked to perfection and thinly sliced before being wrapped in a flour tortilla and loaded with taco toppings.
These tacos are like a Mexican fiesta for your taste buds!
HOW DO YOU MAKE GRILLED STEAK SEASONING FOR TACOS?
To make steak seasoning for grilled steak tacos, combine chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Rub the seasoning mixture on all sides of a sirloin steak and let sit for at least 15 minutes. Grill the seasoned steak until desired doneness.WHAT CUT OF BEEF DO I USE FOR STEAK TACOS?
There are several different cuts of beef that would work for steak tacos, but I find a sirloin steak to be a great choice. Sirloin steak is inexpensive, yet tender enough for tacos without requiring hours of marinating time.WHAT DO I PUT ON STEAK TACOS?
Taco toppings can be customized to your liking! Shredded iceberg lettuce, sharp cheddar cheese, chopped tomatoes, red onion, cool sour cream, and spicy jalapeños are classic, family-friendly choices. Avocados, Mexican Slaw, or Pineapple Salsa would all be great additions to your steak tacos, too!WHAT TO SERVE WITH STEAK TACOS
Steak tacos are great served with a variety of side dishes like Mexican Rice, Slow Cooker Black Beans, Cilantro Lime Rice, or Instant Pot Spanish Rice. Don't forget that simple tortilla chips with dippers like Salsa Verde or Queso make great taco side dishes, too!MORE TACO RECIPES
