That's some good lookin' chicken right there. Wouldn't you agree? I mean, I'm not trying to toot my own horn here or anything, but when I look at the photos of this chicken, I see juicy, beautifully grilled, perfection on a plate. I would like to say that I can take full credit for such a gorgeous piece of meat. I mean, I did cook it. But, truth be told, most of the credit should go to The Fuego Professional Gas Grill it was prepared on.
You see, in order to pump out some gorgeous grilled good, you've got to be working with a top-notch grill. Nothing can ruin a stellar grilling recipe quite like a sub-par grill, amirite? It doesn't matter if you have the most amazing ingredients in the world...if your grill isn't performing, your food is going to suffer for it.
I can confidently say that grilling on The Fuego Professional has changed the way I look at grilling in so many ways. Everything that I make on this grill turns out looking just as gorg as this Honey Teriyaki Chicken. No lie!
I was super excited to try out The Fuego Professional and I've got to say, it's one high-performance grilling machine. The proof is in the (teriyaki chicken) pudding!
I've been cooking on this grill for about a month now. Naturally, I wanted to really get a feel for preparing different meals on it before giving you my opinion. We've made burgers, steaks, chicken. sausages, veggies, and more.
Now that I feel like I know The Fuego Professional inside and out, I'm ready to spill the details! Let's break it down, shall we?
THE FUEGO PROFESSIONAL GAS GRILL REVIEW
WHAT IS THE FUEGO PROFESSIONAL?
The Fuego Professional is a modern take on the traditional gas grill, boasting tons of user-friendly features and superior performance.Offering 415 sq. inches of primary cooking area (not including the 110 sq. in. warming rack), 26,500 BTU/hr, and two burners, The Fuego Professional provides a top of the line grilling experience. You can see exactly how The Fuego Professional stacks up to its competitors over on the Fuego website.
WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE FUEGO PROFESSIONAL:
- Easy Assembly: When the grill arrived, the assembly was super easy. My husband and I had it fully assembled in no time at all. The instructions were clear and the whole process was a breeze.
- The Shape: I am obsessed with it! The round design had me skeptical of the grill's overall stability, but I was pleasantly surprised with the sturdiness. The height is taller than I expected, but just right for an adult. The tank is hidden in the sleek bottom portion of the grill which just makes sense visually and in functionality. The small footprint (just 24 in. by 24 in.!) is ideal for small outdoor spaces or as a unique focal centerpiece on a large patio.
- The Grate: When my husband and I unpacked our new grill, the first thing we noticed was the large, heavy, cast iron grate. The grate on this grill makes my cast iron-loving heart smile! Every time you grill, you are seasoning that cast iron to perfection. If you're not familiar with cast iron cooking in general, I suggest you read up on it and give it a go because it is so perfect for preparing so many foods! The Fuego Professional makes cast iron cooking easy. That cast iron sear alone makes this grill worth every penny.
- Mobility: The Fuego Professional sits of four durable casters that can be locked in place. Just picture it: You store your grill conveniently tucked away in a corner and then, when it's barbecue time, you use the built-in handles to smoothly transition your grill to your party are. Sounds perfect right? This grill is far from clunky or cumbersome, friends. It is designed with mobility in mind!
- 45° Hinged Lid Design: This may be my favorite feature of the Fuego Professional. I actually thought we had made a mistake in assembly the first time I opened the lid. I said to my husband, "Oh, no! It opens sideways." I closed it and opened it again and said, "Ooooooooohhhhh, it opens sideways!" With the unique 45° lid, your arm doesn't have to cross over the heat when you open the grill. So. Darn. Smart.
- Even Cooking: The Fuego Professional has two burners, one outer ring and one inner ring. Turn off the inner ring for indirect heat grilling, or use them both for even heat across the entire grill. Ever piece of food cooked perfectly ever time. The heat distribution is on point!
THE FUEGO PROFESSIONAL ACCESSORIES
Keeping in line with the innovative functionality of the grill, the folks at Fuego offer a small line of optional accessories to compliment the Fuego Professional. I was sent the Clip-On Side Shelf, the Digital Meat Thermometer, and the Outdoor Cover. There is also a Pizza Stone Kit I'd like to get my hands on one day because, hello, it's grilled pizza. Grilled pizza is a big YES in my book.WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE FUEGO ACCESSORIES:
- Clip-On Side Shelf: The last grill I had had two large built-in shelves. I found that with the large shelves, my grill took up so much room. The Fuego Professional does not come with a built-in shelf, but instead a perfectly sized detachable clip-on shelf. I thought that it might be too small for my scatterbrained cooking techniques, but it proved to be the ideal size for keeping my plates and tools in order during the grilling process. Highly recommend.
- Digital Meat Thermometer: Years ago, I ordered a fancy digital thermometer online. It had all the bells and whistles from alarms to different displays for each type of meat. I will confess to you that that thermometer never once made it into a piece of meat. It was just too much technology and such a hassle to use for such a simple task. The Fuego Digital Meat Thermometer is just the opposite. It is simple, functional, easy to read, and the perfect tool for your grilling toolbox. It even came with a battery. I am so happy with it!
- Outdoor Cover: Mom always taught me that if I wanted to have nice things, I had to take care of them. It's always smart to protect your grill from the elements with an outdoor cover. When the grill is not in use, it makes sense to store it covered with the durable Fuego cover tailor made for The Fuego Professional Grill. The cover is well made and I am confident it will last for years.
WOULD I BUY THE FUEGO PROFESSIONAL AGAIN?
Yes! All in all, The Fuego Professional gets two thumbs up from The Two Bite Club and I would buy it again.
This grill is modern, innovative, functional, and had several features that really made it stand out as a forward-thinking product. I absolutely love it and I am 100% onboard with Fuego Living. I know you will be, too!
HONEY TERIYAKI GRILLED CHICKEN RECIPE
Now that you know all about the fab Fuego Professional, let's get cooking! Grilling is one of my family's favorite ways to cook. We use our grill several nights a week (even in the winter!) so I am always trying to come up with tasty ways to dress up your basic proteins.Using a marinade is the perfect way to add amazing flavor to your meat with very little effort. For this recipe, I went with a simple, yet bold teriyaki marinade sweetened with local Florida honey.
How long do I have to marinate my chicken?
In order to let the flavor of the marinade really mingle with the chicken, I recommend marinating for at least one hour. If you have the time to marinate overnight, it will only make the flavor better! Can I freeze grilled chicken?
Yes! You can freeze this grilled chicken recipe in two ways. The first option is to freeze the chicken in the marinade before cooking. You can store the chicken in the freezer in the marinade and then thaw when you are ready to grill. The second option is to freeze the chicken after grilling. Thaw and use the grilled chicken on salads, in soups, and in casseroles. What should I serve with teriyaki chicken?
Teriyaki chicken is excellent served with grilled vegetables such as squash, zucchini, bell peppers, or onions. Teriyaki chicken is also good served with rice or sliced and served on a salad.VIDEO TUTORIAL

Yield: 4 servings
Honey Teriyaki Grilled Chicken
This Honey Teriyaki Grilled Chicken cooked on The Fuego Professional Gas Grill is juicy, tender, and bursting with bold flavor.
prep time: cook time: total time: 17 MIN
INGREDIENTS
4 bonelss skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a small bowl or mason jar, combine the soy sauce, water, honey, vinegar, olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, and ground ginger. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade for basting. Marinate the chicken in the remaining sauce for at least an hour in the refrigerator.
2. Prepare your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding the marinade. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F, basting each side with the marinade reserved for basting.
NOTES
Serve with grilled vegetables such as squash, zucchini, bell peppers, and onions cooked alongside the chicken. For four people, I sliced and grilled one zucchini, one squash, two peppers, and a half of a red onion. (Don't worry, The Fuego Professional can fit it all!)
If desired, garnish with fresh chopped cilantro before serving.
If your chicken breasts are on the smaller side, you can use up to 6 chicken breasts for the amount of marinade the recipe prepares.
