If you have been looking for the perfect appetizer recipe for when you have parties, look no further! These bacon wrapped smokies are going to knock your socks off and everyone loves them!
Let me tell you about why they're so awesome. First, there's the fact that these little bites of deliciousness are a finger food. Everyone loves little nibbles to pick on at parties, am I right? Put out a big plate of these sweet, sticky, smoky sausages and watch your guests flock to them.
Another reason why this is the perfect appetizer for a party is because they are so darn easy to make! The last thing you need to be worrying about before a party is being stuck in the kitchen with labor-intensive recipes.
All you need to do is roll these little guys up in bacon, give 'em a whirl in a little bit of brown sugar, and bake. Seriously, minimal effort for a big, big reward.
Finally, this recipe is so awesome because, hello, bacon! Bacon makes everything better. That's just a fact. Even if it's just meat wrapped meat like this is.
I just love wrapping things in bacon. Check out my Cream Cheese Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates, Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers, and Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Popper Turkey Burger Sliders. Bacon wrap all the things!
One word of warning, though. These go fast! If your guests are eaters, you should seriously consider making a double batch. A little more prep time involved then, but you'll be disappointed if you don't make enough and they go too fast! You are going to love them!

Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Smokies
Ingredients
Instructions
Notes
Ingredients
- 1 pkg beef little smokies
- 1 lb bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut the bacon slices into thirds. Wrap each of the smokies in bacon and then roll in brown sugar to coat. Thread the smokies onto skewers leaving a little bit of space between each piece. Place the skewers onto a foil-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with any remaining brown sugar.
- Bake for 20 minutes, flip skewers, and return to the oven. Continue baking for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from the skewers to a serving platter.
Notes
- I like to dip these in something a little spicy (like a spicy brown mustard) to balance the sweetness.
