IS BRISKET DRY RUB SPICY?
This dry rub has a large amount of black pepper whick gives it a little spicy kick. To mellow out the pepper, you can reduce it by up to half. We love it as is, though!WHAT IS A DRY RUB?
A dry rub is a blend of spices that is rubbed directly onto meat before cooking.WHAT IS BRISKET?
Brisket is a cut of beef from the lower chest area of a cow. It is known to be a tough cut of beef due to the amount of connective tissue in that part of the animal. A low-temperature slow cook can yield tender, juicy, flavorful brisket.DO YOU HAVE TO MARINATE THE BRISKET WITH DRY RUB?
You do not have to marinate your brisket with the rub. I like to apply the rub to the meat before preparing the smoker, so it ends up on the meat for roughly half an hour before hitting the heat.MORE HOMEMADE SEASONING MIXES
